Warwick and Wurli. The Warwick 5 string is a relatively new addition (a few years maybe) and is equal parts funky and heavy. The Wurli in the background is a newer one … it has a story that I’ll tell soon!
Complete overhaul of the circuits in the vintage Wurlitzer 200A. Will probably make a video with this very special unit once I’ve got it sorted. Glorious tones from one of the greatest electric pianos ever made.
The Sennheiser 441 - the best dynamic mic ever made … sounds good on … everything!
Finally solved a power supply issue in some of my preamps that caused them to turn off after a little while. Back into the rack with a new part and bigger heatsink!
Replacing some ICs in an old synth’s midi board … hopefully I can breathe some new life into it!

New addition - all the way from 1978 the DBX 165 compressor. With ‘Over Easy’ soft knee compression as an option and full control of attack & release times. This thing is a monster on kick, bass and vocals. Vibe for days.

The non-existent, never released 1176JN compressor. Almost every vocal clients send me for their productions or mixes ends up going through these units. Even without compression engaged they have a lovely filtering sound. Built in house by my well-used musician’s hands!

Portable setup getting the job done today in #Brisbane. Knocked over takes of acoustic guitars and vocals for two tunes. Made the rest of the music remotely from video demos and got some help from @stevenpope on the kit from sunny #Melbourne.
A classic that I don’t play enough. Great to smash the unmistakable tones of the Strat today in a session. Love the large 70s headstock!

Good times all this week and next with Roy's super weird and epic tunes. He's tuning in from Brisbane, Steve Pope - Drummer is working out drum parts from Melbourne, and I'm in the mountains making all the jokes. All of us can hear studio quality audio as well, which makes it feel like we're in the same room (for better or worse!).
